Committee Roles
The Meet the Mountains Festival doesn't happen without the commitment, sacrifice, time, and energy of a dedicated festival committee. The Committee is volunteer-based and made up of Visit Johnson City staff and community members alike.

If you'd like to apply to be a part of the committee, then be sure to carefully read through each description below. Click on each role title for a more in-depth look at each role's responsibilities*. If you're unsure how you fit, but want to be a part, then apply and the Festival Director will offer subcommittee options for you.

From securing rentals to developing the festival site plan, the Logistics Coordinator and Logistics Subcommittee are the "glue that holds it all together".
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, maintaining, and scheduling volunteers the week and days of the festival.
The Scheduling Coordinator will be the go-to for all things festival and committee schedule-related.
The Vendor Coordinator and Vendor Subcommittee will bring all the tasty treats and amazing artisans to the festival.
The Sustainability Coordinator and Sustainability Subcommittee are directly responsible for overseeing one of the festival's core values: protecting and preserving our lands.
Planning, designing, creating and strategizing are all parts of the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Subcommittee's expertise.
Recruiting, strategizing and weaving together are instrumental to the role of Education Coordinator and the Education Subcommittee.
The Entertainment Coordinator and Entertainment Subcommittee are here to bring the noise, but in a good way.
The role of the beer coordinator is fairly straightforward: plan and provide the best options for summertime fun at the festival.
